Committee Descriptions

Member(s) can join a committee anytime during the year!
Your commitment can be for a single event or service for a day, a week, a month or the entire year.
Just contact a director in the area of your interest as indicated below.

Every one of our members is a recruiter!  Just ask a friend, co-worker, acquaintance, or a golfer you just met at a local course to join EWGA!  The information to join is on our website, or download an application and keep it in your golf bag to hand out.  (Be sure to enter your name on the referral line to be eligible for recruiter prizes at the end of the year!)  They can also enter your name on the on-line application in the referral section. The only requirement to join EWGA is that the new member be at least 18 years old and out of high school.  That's it!  Yes, men are welcome too!   This committee may also have membership tables set up at different local events to recruit new members and is involved in community relations.  Contact the Membership Director for more information at:

The Member Services Committee is a great way to get to meet everyone in the Chapter!  This committee is involved with the Member Welcome Program, Member Profile, Member Orientations, Volunteer Enrollment and Recognition and the Golf Mentoring Program.  You can also assist with the retention of existing members; greet new members at events, help plan and implement ongoing membership welcome and orientation programs.  Contact the Membership Director for more information.

The Marketing Committee is a great way to be in the know! This committee works to keep everyone "in the know" by creating and publishing chapter newsletters (eblasts), assists in the development and maintenance of the website, social networking (Facebook, etc.) and has the opportunity to work with the media (press releases, community calendars, TV, radio), as well as locating chapter partners and sponsors.  Members are currently needed for the eblast, social or business networking, media or sponsor areas.  Contact the Marketing Director at:

Do you enjoy planning and running successful events?  Never planned an event, but would like to have the opportunity?  Or are you a people person?  A natural networker (business or social)?   Then this committee is for you!  These teams plan and implement organized play opportunities for players of all skill levels, social activities as well as these other areas:

Golf Activities including golf events (9 and 18 holes), golf leagues (twilight and travel), golf education;
Non-golf Activities including social and networking groups and events;
